Gratuity and Pension

 

Under the revised terms of gratuity and pension, DSC personnel will continue to draw:-

(a)    Military pension and retain Death-cum-Retirement Gratuity, in which case their former Military Service shall not count as qualifying service.


(b)    They will be entitled to second service pension and Death-cum-Retirement Gratuity if service in DSC is 15 years or more.


(c)    Minimum qualifying service to earn service gratuity is 5 years.


(d)    If they desire to count their previous military service, they will cease to draw pension and also refund the service Gratuity including Death-cum-Retirement Gratuity.

Honorary Commission to JCOs and NCOs

 (a)    Honorary Commission are availed on each Republic Day and independence Day.

 Army Group Insurance cover for Rs. 20 lacs.

(a)    Monthly Premium Rs. 2,070/-.


(b)    Conveyance Advance of MC/Scooter applicable to personnel drawing basic pay of Rs. 11,000/- (including Basic Pay, Grade Pay & MSP.


(c)    HBA.

 Period of Engagement

(a)    Sepoys :  Initial term of engagement 10 years extendable by 5 years at a time till 57 years of age, whichever is earlier.


(b)    JCOs :    Initial term of engagement 5 years extendable by 5 years at a time till 57 years of age, whichever is earlier.


(c)    Lateral Entry Sub Majors :     Initial term of engagement 4 years or till 57 year of age, whichever is earlier.

Concessions and Benefits

 

In addition to pay, the personnel of DSC will  continue to get DA, CCA and other allowances as applicable to Army, Navy and Air Force personnel.  They are also entitled for the following :-

(a)   45 days of Annual Leave and 15 days of Casual Leave.
(b)   Leave Travel Concession.
(c)   Hair cutting/Cleaning and Washing allowance.
(d)   Children Education Allowance/Re-imbursement of Tuition Fee.
(e)   Free medical treatment as for Regular Armed Forces personnel.
(f)    Free Rations.
(g)   Amenities  as for Regular Army Personnel.
(h)   Benefits under AWWA Relief Fund.
(j)    Benefits under ESSA.
