FELICITATION OF WOMEN OFFICERS ACHIEVERS OF CORPS OF ENGRS IN DEFEXPO:      A Seminar on DEFEXPO India 2018 was conducted wef 11-14 Apr 2018 at Chennai by SIDM.  Maj Neha Bhatnagar, VSM and other three women offrs were felicitated with “Yashaswini Trophy for Women Achiever of Defence Services” by Mrs Nirmala Sita Raman, Hon Raksha Mantri on 11 Apr 2018. Maj Neha Bhatnagar, VSM & Maj Namrata Rathore, VSM have scaled Mount Everest in past while Maj Shikha Bhaduria & Maj Raj Chaudhary have excelled in Nationals in Shooting representing IA. 




Maj Pushpa Joshi (E1C), E-in-C’s Branch and Maj Usha Kumari GE (A/F) Faridabad participated in the Jt Indian Army Mountaineering Expdn to Mt Stok Kangri. The expdn conducted in Karakoram Rgs from 04 Jan to 15 Jan 2018. 
MARUTI SUZUKI DESERT STORM CAR RALLY 2018:     Maruti Suzuki Desert Storm Car Rally 2018 was conducted wef 17 Mar to 23 Mar 2018 from Bikaner to Jaisalmer.  4 Engr Regt and 234 Armd Engr Regt represented the Corps. 234 Armd Engr Regt stood 1st amongst Army teams and overall 6th posn out of 32 teams. 4 Engr Regt stood 3rd amongst Army teams and overall 9th posn in its category. 
PHD CHAMBER WOMEN CAR RALLY 2018: PHD Chamber Women Car Rally conducted on 30-31 Mar 2018 from Delhi to Jaipur with the theme “Wheeling the Women to Power.” Women Offrs from 19 Engr Regt and GE (Utility) Delhi represented the Corps of Engrs. Capt Yeshu Singh, GE (U) Delhi Cantt secured 3rd posn while Maj Komal Parihar, 19 Engr Regt secured 14th posn in their respective categories. 
(a) Army Ocean Sailing Expedition from Mumbai to Minicoy and back was conducted from 06 Mar to 13 Apr 18. The expedition was conducted under the aegis of the MT Dte /AAW and HQ Southern Comd with CME Pune being the nodal agency resp for org successful conduct of the event. The team was flagged off from Marve beach by Lt Gen Vishwambhar Singh, AVSM, VSM, GOC MG & G Area. 
(b) The expedition team comprised of members from All Arms & Services. A total of 18 Offs, three JCOs and 14 OR participated in the expedition with an addl eight pers as grnd sp staff and four Seabirds boats. The expedition was led by Lt Col MK Bhattacharya, OIC AANC Blue Water Sailing from Mumbai to Kochi. Further legs by of the expedition from Kochi to Minicoy and back to Mumbai was led by Lt Col Karunakaran A of CME Pune.  The expedition was flagged in by Lt Gen Michael Mathews, VSM**, Comdt CME, Pune. 
(c) This expedition is the first maj Ocean Sailing expedition carried out by the Army Adventure Nodal Centre, Marve. The expedition sailed to Minicoy, which is the Southern most Island of Lakshadweep Islands.
