Achievements

The corps has played an outstanding part in all operations against Pakistan. In 1971, in addition to the operational role with other fighting formations, in east Pakistan (now Bangladesh) the corps was given the gigantic task of guarding approx 90,000 prisoners of war. The resources of the corps were stretched to the maximum but it again came out with flying colours.

On 24 Apr 1982, corps of military police was presented colors by the then president of India Shri Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy in recognition of its dedication and distinguished services to the nation.

The motorcycle display team, ‘Shwet Ashwa’ created a world record on 22 sep 1995 and entered its name in the Guinness book of world records, when it put a pyramid of 133 persons on 11 motorcycles which traversed a distance of 350 meters, at Bangalore.
